Gretsch's 5" x 14" Silver Series Maple Snare Drum features a naturally balanced, very warm 10-ply shell that has been coated on the inside with Silver Sealer to boost sound projection. At a 5" depth this snare can handle high tunings really well, giving you some extra pop!
The shell on this drum has 30-degree bearing edges, giving you a more articulation from the head to clearly hear all of those ghost notes and fast figures. Die-cast hoops keep the tuning locked down, holding up against rimshot after rimshot.
The Silver Series Maple Snare comes equipped with 20-strand snare wires, a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head, and a Remo Ambassador resonant head to give you good sounds out of the box.
