Traditionally, drummers would dampen their bass drum batter heads by laying a strip of felt along the inside before they tuned it. It sounds great, but it was a big hassle - until Remo unveiled their Powerstroke P3 Felt Tone Bass Drum Heads.
A free-floating felt dampening strip is built into the head without any adhesives, instantly drying up the sound just a tiny bit and getting rid of nasty overtones. Unlike old-school felt strips, this one does not overlap the flesh hoop so it won't mess with tuning.
Remo Powerstroke P3 Bass Heads are constructed from a ply of 10-mil Mylar film and a 10-mil underlay at the outer edge that dampens high-pitched, annoying overtones. This helps to create a great balance between response and clear tone.
The Hazy texture gives this head a warm, relaxed tone, and you can clearly see the felt strip inside.
