The old classic, Remo Tunable Practice Pads are made with a real drum head and features a raised rim that is tunable, just like a real drum. Obviously the tuning has nothing to do with pitch (it sounds like a pad no matter what), but being able to change the feel of the pad with a turn of an included key is pretty nifty.
